11112sswswssAugust 1, 2010 – The Scouts Carnival was organised successfully and held at Taman Metropolitan Batu, Kuala Lumpur in conjunction of World Scout Day and KL Scouts Centenary. There were around 600 Scouts, Scoutmasters, Commissioners from WPKL and Nasional Hq in attendance. The organising committee lead by Chairman, Asst State Commissioner (Programme) Mr Howard Lai planned and held lots of activities for the Cub Scouts, Junior Scouts and the Senior Scouts to take part which included Morse code, Semaphore, Knotting, Kim Games, Compass and many more. The Rover Scouts of WPKL were in hand to help run the activities and guide the participants on the knowledge of scouting. The 2010 batch of King Scout trainees were also present to share their knowledge to the juniors.
In conjunction with the World Scout Day, Scout For Nature (SFN) would like to extend our invitation to you to join in the WP Kuala Lumpur Scouts' Centenary Celebration. Cut
SFN promotes scouting and raising awareness on the importance of nature conservation. We also call for people to unite and stand together for our Tigers. On concurrence with World Tiger Day (July 29), we are showing the world that we care about our wild Malayan tigers and support the Malaysian Government on its Tiger Action Plan : Double The Tiger by 2020 !

1. HOW TO BE TRUSTWORTHY
BE HONEST. . . Don't lie, cheat, or steal.
BE RELIABLE. . . Keep your promises and follow through on your commitments.
HAVE THE COURAGE. . .
to do what is right, even when it seems difficult.
BE A GOOD FRIEND. . . and don't betray a trust.
2. HOW TO BE RESPECTFUL
Treat other people the way you want to be treated.
Be courteous and polite.
Listen to what other people have to say.
Don't insult people, or make fun of them, or call them names.
Don't bully or pick on others.
Don't judge people before you get to know them.
3. HOW TO BE A RESPONSIBLE PERSON
Be reliable and dependable; when you agree to do something, do it.
Take care of your own business. Don't make others do what you are supposed to do.
Take responsibility for your actions; don't make excuses or blame others.
